Incident response startup BreachRx Inc. today announced the launch of Rex AI, a new generative artificial intelligence engine that powers a suite of intelligence incident response capabilities.
The offering is built on BreachRx’s cybersecurity operational platform data and Cyber RegScout, BreachRx’s cybersecurity, privacy and data breach legal library and offers cyber incident response that allows organizations to operationalize response processes across functions and stakeholders to protect themselves and their customers.
BreachRx argues that existing incident response processes are often arduous, content-heavy and increasingly complicated. Additionally, tasks in incident management, from creating incident response plans, coordinating incident response efforts, capturing records and writing reports often default to engineering or other technical personnel who are self-professed poor writers, taking them away from mission-critical work during a cyber incident.
To address existing inefficient processes, Rex AI provides real-time, intelligent recommendations to all stakeholders and, in doing so, streamlines incident response processes so that incident responders can focus on action rather than record preservation.
“Our mission is to provide the first and only platform enabling every relevant functional group across an organization to manage incident response collectively, consistently and efficiently,” said co-founder and Chief Product Officer Matt Hartley.
Key features of Rex AI include a Regulatory Chatbot that allows users to query relevant regulations through natural language and receive actionable summaries and insights. The service also offers Task Templates that automatically generate record-keeping formats during incidents, allowing technical staff to easily complete documentation without starting from scratch.
Rex AI provides Action Ideas to guide responders across departments, with additional steps to help protect the organization from litigation and minimize damage. Another feature, called Activities Rewrite, helps users refine their notes for official records with a single click, reducing the burden of documentation during stressful events.
Other features include Report Template Helper, which suggests fixes for errors in incident reports and crisis response templates, helping teams deliver clear, accurate communication during critical moments. Additionally, Rex AI generates plain-language summaries of conditions that activate operational plans, regulatory actions, and contractual obligations, supporting collaboration across the business.
“With BreachRx supercharged by Rex AI, customers can effectively prepare themselves and ensure that they can quickly get back to business as usual no matter what happens,” added Hartley.
BreachRx is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised approximately $6.5 million in funding. Investors in the company include SYN Ventures and Overline LP.
